Letter to Patients re Coronavirus

Dear Patients

We are working hard at Mitcheldean Surgery to be ready for the Coronavirus epidemic.

We are taking a proactive approach to how we see patients; after telephone triage you may be contacted by a GP or Nurse  who will discuss your needs with you.  If you need to be seen you will be invited in by the GP or Nurse and instructed as to which room/floor you must arrive at.  Please do not assume you just walk into the Surgery via the front doors as you normally would.  We are endeavouring to be particularly careful with cross infection.  To this end we have divided the Surgery up in to areas where we will see patients with certain types of illness.  Cleaning procedures are in place for all areas.

Thank you for your understanding around our processes to reduce footfall and our attempts to safeguard your wellbeing.  We have been cleaning the Surgery every lunchtime for 2 weeks now, this is a proactive measure to try and keep the Surgery free from any transferable germs – this is not because we have Coronavirus or any other transmittable disease.

Please take a look at our latest information (16 March 2020) which we have put out regarding repeat dispensing and the use of the external boxes to pop your repeat dispensing request into. For all our up-to-date information please go to our website www.mitcheldeansurgery.co.uk our phone lines are incredibly busy and you may find all you need on the website without having to pick up the phone!

Many thanks again for your ongoing co-operation.
