Given the current situation, unfortunately the Gloucester Deaf Association have currently suspended all services and are therefore unable to come to the Surgery as before. If you are experiencing problems with your hearing aid, please follow the instructions below:
- You can post your aids to Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Gloucester and Cheltenham Hearing Services, Gloucester Royal Hospital, Audiology Department, Great Western Road, Gloucester, GL1 3NN. Please remember to include your name, contact details and address with your aids, along with a brief outline of the problem. The hospital will then service/repair and return your aids to you by 2nd class post.
- In order to protect the hospital staff, if you have any of the COVID-19 symptoms, please mark this clearly on the information you enclose.
- If a family member wishes to drop off your hearing aids at Gloucester Royal Hospital, please direct them to the OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENT RECEPTION AREA (first floor outpatients, signposted Hearing Services/ENT) and complete a form to include full patient details, address, postcode and contact number, and again noting if the patient has been suffering with a persistent cough or high temperature in the last 7 days.
- Any patient wishing to request accessories such as tubing, slim tubes, domes or batteries can do so by emailing email@example.com and these will be send out via 2nd class post.
We do have a stock of hearing aid batteries here at the Surgery which can be collected.
As soon as we have any information on when the hearing aid clinics here at the Surgery will begin again, we will post this information here on our website and on our Facebook page.
