The vaccine allocation for the Forest of Dean has now been confirmed up to Monday 8 March. This means there are enough appointments now available for all patients in the following categories that have not yet been offered or booked their vaccination:
- Those patients between the ages of 65 and 69 (Group 5)
- Those patients between the ages of 16 and 64 (Group 6) who are in the ‘at risk’ category (see www.forestgpsurgeries.co.uk for details of ‘at risk’).
The Forest of Dean Surgeries are in the process of contacting their patients who do not have an appointment booked yet and are filling appointments from 18 February to 8 March. Patients should not contact their Surgery unless specifically asked to do so. Those with a mobile number on their patient record will be sent a text message with a link to click and follow so they can book their own appointment.
Surgeries will monitor their Group 5 and 6 patient lists to see which patients still need a vaccine appointment. Those patients will be contacted directly either by their Surgery or the Vaccination Centre in Cinderford and their appointment will be booked over the phone. Groups 5 and 6 have a large number of patients in them and it is taking time for Surgeries to work through their lists.
Over the coming week, we hope to provide information regarding second vaccinations which are due in March initially for those who were vaccinated week commencing 21 December 2020.
The vaccine schedule up to Monday 8th March is as follows. Please note this is not guaranteed and may change on the day due to vaccine availability.
Monday 1st March – AstraZeneca
Tuesday 2nd March – Pfizer
Wednesday 3rd March – Pfizer
Thursday 4th March – Pfizer
Friday 5th March – AstraZeneca
Saturday 6th March – AstraZeneca
