The Forest of Dean Vaccination Centre continues with rolling out the local vaccination programme. To date around 4,000 Forest of Dean residents have been vaccinated including all the CQC registered care homes and most of the care home staff. The Forest of Dean GPs are now concentrating on vaccinating housebound people. So far Mitcheldean Surgery’s housebound have all been vaccinated and other Practices will be doing theirs over the coming weeks.
This week, the Vaccination Centre at Cinderford will vaccinate approximately 760 people. Vaccination supply for the coming weeks has not yet been confirmed so this affects the ability make appointments available for booking patients into but is being frequently updated. The Forest of Dean is still concentrating on vaccinating the over 75s.
News on the next cohort (over 70s and clinically extremely vulnerable) will follow as soon. On line direct booking will follow, this is being developed and will be implemented soon.
